Connecticut Bombers Information
Established in 1998, the Connecticut Bombers have become one of the top rated programs
in the country and the #1 program in the Northeast. We play the best competition,
have the best coaching, all within our 55-80 game schedule. The season consists of an extensive practice schedule, with teaching, conditioning and discipline being
our main focus. We look for players with the heart and desire to play the game. Remember, we make the ballplayers.
The Connecticut Bomber's goal is to develop the player both mentally as well as
physically. Many programs emphasis winning and past accomplishments where we gear
towards the development of the player. Our goal is to have the player ready for
college. In 2008 the Bombers graduated 11 players of which 9 players went Division
1 and 6 started as freshman. In the past 5 years 100% of Bombers went on to many
of the top Universities in the country. Most of our
alumni continue on to have successful college careers at many of the top programs in the country.
The program is a very demanding one. We take great pride in our development of taking
an average player, over a period of time, to a player who will continue his career
in college. That is what the Bombers program is all about.
The Connecticut Bombers will be holding
tryout/clinics beginning in November for our 12U and under programs. 13U and above programs will
hold tryouts/clinics beginning in January. You don't need to tryout for the Bombers
to attend the tryout clinics.
The CT Bombers schedule several fund raisers during the year to help lower the costs of running the overall program. In addition, players are given access to several fundraisers that can directly reduce the player’s fees for the year. One such fundraiser is the
CT Bombers Ad Book. 100% of the sponsor fees collected for the CT Ad Book are deducted from the player's
fees.
CT Bombers 9U and 10U
The Program is designed to develop young players with the real game, i.e. leading, stealing and pitching from the stretch. The team will play a 45-55 game schedule beginning in early April with practices and ending in late July. They will play in the GNHBL Roberto Clemente Division, Triple Crown Tournaments, Baseball Heaven and against top travel teams from the New England, New York and New Jersey.
CT Bombers 11U and 12U
The 11 and 12 year old programs will begin in early April with practices and games. We will play an extensive 50-60 game schedule. Our competition will come from the
Pee Wee Reese League in Connecticut, Triple Crown and Baseball Heaven Tournaments and against top travel teams from the New England, New York and New Jersey. All games will be played on 50-70 and 54-80 size fields. In 2009, the Connecticut Bombers
11's won the Pee Wee Reese World Series.
CT Bombers 13U
The Bombers 13 year old program begins with discipline both mentally and physically. We instruct players on mental focus that leads to physical success. Our intensity for discipline and mechanics, combined with the best coaching staff, has made the CT Bomber 13 year old program the place to develop your ballplayer in CT. If the proper mechanics are not learned by the age of 13, sometimes it becomes too late. Remember to be the best you need to be trained by the best.
We play an extensive 80+ game schedule beginning in April. We play only weekends in April and May due to middle school. Our competition includes High School freshman
and JV teams, the exclusive 10 team NEBA, New England's premier travel baseball division, Perfect Game, AABC Caba and other travel teams from New York, New Jersey
all culminating at the National Tournament in late July. Bob Turcio heads the program.
CT Bombers 14U
The 14's play the same type of schedule as the 13's. They begin play on the weekends in April and May playing JV and Varsity high school programs along with our NEBA
foes. The Greater New Haven Baseball League 16 year old Mickey Mantle Division is
where we play during the week beginning in June. The season finishes in Tennessee
at the CABA Nationals. Tim Binkoski and Brian Darcy head the program.
CT Bombers 15U and 16U
The 15 and 16 programs, as with all the programs have had great success. This is
the beginning of the college process. The program plays in the ACEBL 17u wood bat league, limited action in the Mickey Mantle Division, Perfect Game World Wood bat
Tournaments, Blue Chip Tournament, Select 6, and the Super 7 in East Cobb. Teams play a 55-70 game schedule ending in early August. Paul Raccio heads the 15's and
Lou Iannotti heads the 16's.
CT Bombers 18U
Our 18's is one of the top programs in the nation. The team is made up of High School players, in most cases, already committed to colleges. They need to face the best competition in the country to prepare themselves for the upcoming college season. We play in the elite ACEBL Wood Bat League, Perfect Game World Wood Bat Tournament, Blue Chip Prospect Tournaments, BCS Perfect Game and many more. The program is headed
by Joe Reitano and Greg Simler. Their approach with the players not only enhances their chances of playing freshman year, many will start as freshman. Colleges such as Notre Dame, UConn, Stetson and dozens more have reaped the benefits of our players who are ready to play first year. The schedule consists of 55-70 games beginning in early June and finishing in early August. Our teams accomplishments have been many, but that is overshadowed by the fact that our players, 100%, continue on to have successful college careers at many of the top programs in the country, all
on scholarship, which is the return on your investment.
